Trach and Feeding Tubes

Yesterday, May 22nd Chloey had tracheotomy and feeding tube surgeries. The surgeries lasted about 2 hours. She came through them alright but they will keep her sedated for the rest of this week so there's no danger of them coming out. She had to have the trach put in to help her with her breathing. She was congested and since she lost control of her tongue and her swallowing, etc..she was not able to cough or clear the secretions in her throat, which could have caused her to have pneumonia. She had to have a feeding tube because she isn't able to eat at all. The encephalitis has taken away those functions. She is still in PICU. Please continue to pray for her.
