I just wanted to say how much I appreciate my mother making this page for Chloey. Since Chloey was put in the hospital, I realize how sweet life is, and how many of us take it for granted. My children are my life, and I wish I could save Chloey from this tough journey that she has been through. She is a very strong individual and I know in my heart she is fighting everyday to improve. I know that Chloey will never be the same baby and her daddy and I are trying to adjust to what we are gonna have to go home to. How do you get yourself ready for something like this? The way I see it is to have faith and know that everything happens for a reason. We have a lot of faith and hope in our kids and we know that God is in control of what happens but sometimes its so hard to do that. The questions I ask myself everyday are "How do I know if she is in pain, hungry, sleepy?" whatever she could let me know before is going to be different now...the swelling in her brain has caused damage but know one knows how much damage.. When we go home she will have a feeding tube and her trach. which is called a Tracheotomy. She will only be breathing through the small hole in her throat. She cannot have any foods or liquids by mouth. This may be permanent or temporary. It all depends how much she improves. We are hoping that she will improve to where she can eat, cry, talk, walk, and do the things a one year old would do. We love her, and pray for her. We also pray that we can explain this to her brother. He is an intelligent four year old, and very sweet. He loves his sister, I know he will be a tremendous help and understand that just because she may look and act a little different, doesn't mean we don't love her the same.. in our eyes she's still Chloey.....Evan and I just want to thank everyone for their prayers and want to encourage people to keep praying for our baby.
